Coaching Minor

Picture

The Coaching Minor at SRU is available to students of all majors. This 18 credit minor empowers a student to learn the skills and information needed to be a successful coach, at all levels.

Three semester hours of practicum experiences are required for the Minor in Coaching. Practicum experiences include working with a college, high school,   or community athletic team for 50 hours. Students must complete three different experiences (one credit each) in three separate semesters. These practicums must contain a minimum of two different sports and two different levels. The same sport and level may not be used twice.

Students engaged in a public school-based practicum must have Act 34 and    Act 151 Clearances, and FBI finger print check.
